About Me
Mack Lambert is a freelance DP, Photographer and Director specializing in dynamic media for brands and athletes whos goal is to craft evocative, engaging storytelling that brings each client’s unique vision to life.
“Growing up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire instilled in me a deep, humble admiration for the people who not only live within mountain culture, but help shape it. That early connection to rugged landscapes and the stories they hold laid the foundation for my work as a visual storyteller. Now based on the West Coast, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with a broader community of athletes, creatives, and brands who share a similar reverence for movement, nature, and the spaces we inhabit. Through film and photography, I aim to document the raw, human moments that define outdoor culture.”
Expedition Philosophy
I believe expedition filmmaking works best when it stays close to the feeling of actually being there. Not overproduced. Not forced into a narrative before the story has had a chance to unfold. The mountains, weather, exhaustion, silence, uncertainty, and small human moments are not obstacles to work around, they are the work itself. My approach is built around immersion first. Moving with small crews, carrying minimal equipment, and staying adaptable enough to respond honestly to what the environment gives us.
I’m less interested in creating polished adventure fantasy and more interested in documenting the texture of real experience. The way light changes after fourteen hours outside. The tension before committing to a line. The strange humor and stillness that develops between people deep into an expedition. I want films to feel lived in, human, and emotionally grounded.
At its core, my philosophy is simple: move carefully, stay observant, and let the environment shape the storytelling rather than forcing the storytelling onto the environment.
